Asian Box and The Habit Burger Grill coming soon to Campus Plaza Shopping Center

IRVINE, Calif. (March 16, 2016) — Two new restaurant concepts are set to arrive at Campus Plaza Shopping Center in late spring.

Asian Box was founded to create an authentic, more healthful yet explosively flavorful Asian restaurant focusing on quickly prepared and cooked to order fresh Vietnamese food reminiscent of street stalls in Asia. Using local and sustainable ingredients, all Asian Box dishes are made-to-order with authentic house made marinades and sauces.

Setting a new bar within the quickly growing fast-casual category of restaurants, Asian Box’s menu and facility are completely gluten-free, and offer guests an authentic, high-quality dining experience that is fun, healthy, and quickly ‘dtam sang’, or made-to-order.

Grace Nguyen, co-founder, is the Executive Chef at Asian Box and came to the company having worked with some of the finest chefs in the country, including Charles Phan at his world famous Slanted Door and Bush Street OTD restaurants in San Francisco. Grace was raised in a traditional Vietnamese family where she began cooking with her grandmother at an early age and has brought so many of these childhood flavors to the Asian Box menu.

The Campus Plaza Shopping Center location will be Asian Box’s first Orange County outpost and second in Southern California.

The Habit Burger Grill, an Irvine-based local favorite best known for its award-winning Charburgers, will also open at Campus Plaza Shopping Center in late May. The fast-casual concept specializes in preparing fresh, made-to-order chargrilled burgers and sandwiches featuring USDA choice tri-tip steak, grilled chicken and sushi-grade albacore tuna cooked over an open flame. In addition, The Habit features fresh salads and an appealing selection of sides, shakes and malts.

The Habit was named the “best tasting burger in America” in July 2014 in a comprehensive survey conducted by one of America’s leading consumer magazines. The first Habit Burger Grill opened in Santa Barbara, California in 1969 and has since grown to more than 140 restaurants in 15 markets throughout California, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, New Jersey, Utah, Virginia and Washington.

The two new restaurants will be next to each other on the corner of Cornell and Campus Dr.

Asian Box will be located at 4503 Campus Drive, Suite 4503.

The Habit Burger Grill will be located at 4501 Campus Drive, Suite 4501.
