The popular national retailer Chico’s will open at The Irvine Company’s newest neighborhood shopping center, Orchard Hills Village Center, in early summer. The 125,000 sq. ft. retail center is under development in north Irvine and will open in early summer.
Chico’s will have a 3,812 sq. ft. store offering its exclusively-designed, private label women’s clothing and related accessories. The company owns 590 Chico’s front-line stores and 34 Chico’s outlet stores.
“Orchard Hills Village Center will have a unique mix of fashion, restaurants and services, and Chico’s is a popular store that will be well received by the community,” said Keith Eyrich, President of The Irvine Company Retail Properties. “The center has been designed like others on the Irvine Ranch, as a relaxing place for family and friends to gather, shop and dine in a beautiful outdoor environment.”
Orchard Hills Village Center will have a casual, rustic elegance with stonework reminiscent of Tuscany. Located at Portola Parkway and Culver Drive in Irvine, the center will feature a fountain, a portico for courtyard dining, and buildings with shorter, gabled roofs.
Orchard Hills Village Center is adjacent to a working avocado orchard, a legacy of James Irvine and The Irvine Company’s agricultural heritage. A variety of trees will enhance the center’s atmosphere, including tristanias, Italian cypresses, pepper trees, olive trees and eucalyptus windrows.
The Irvine Company is a privately held company based in Newport Beach, California. The company’s retail portfolio includes Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum Center, The Market Place and 36 neighborhood and community centers. For more information, visit www.ShopTheIrvineCompany.com.
