As you plan your holiday getaway, we invite you to relax, embrace the spirit of the season and leave the decorating to us! Select from our menu of holiday décor options and add a package to your reservation, then delight in the warmth of your festively decked out accommodation upon arrival. From garlands and wreaths to fresh poinsettias and ornamented trees, packages are available for indoors, outdoor terraces and dining tables, as well as custom décor upon request.

Children’s Gingerbread House Decorating

Pelican Hill’s Pastry Chef highlights a favorite holiday tradition in this culinary class, where children will enjoy lunch and create a masterpiece to take home. Classes are available for children ages 5 and up, with parent supervision required throughout the class for all children ages 10 and younger. $65 per child, excluding applicable taxes and gratuities.

Nutcracker Tea Holiday Party
Saturday, December 17
Children and their families are invited to enjoy an enchanting holiday season tradition, featuring a delightful Nutcracker ballet performance and holiday tea in the Resort’s elegant ballroom from 12 – 3:30 p.m. Tea sandwiches, pastries and scones will be served. Parent supervision is required throughout the tea and performance. $65 for adults and $35 for children, excluding applicable taxes and gratuities.

Christmas Day in Mar Vista Ballroom

A Christmas celebration with classic offerings accompanied by a classic harpist is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children’s activities include Santa Claus photos, cupcake decorating and a puppet marionette show at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Reservations recommended. $95 for adults and $45 for children, excluding applicable taxes and gratuities.

Explore the flavors of the season with fresh, local ingredients from the Irvine Ranch, as one of Pelican Hill’s chefs du cuisine leads a hands-on preparation course paired with wines. Each class in the series features a distinct menu and takes place Fridays evenings in a luxurious Villa kitchen. $150 per person with wine pairings (excludes applicable taxes and gratuities). Limited to 14 guests per class. Reservations are required and may be arranged by calling 800-820-6800.

Holiday Caffé
November & December
Resort-made holiday gelatos, pastries, panettone and other seasonal holiday desserts are prepared fresh and featured daily. For holiday shoppers, the Caffé features traditional culinary accessories and gourmet goods.

Tea Time Renaissance
November & December
Capture the essence of a traditional tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 – 5 p.m. throughout the holiday season in the Great Room, along with a classical harpist. $45 for adults and $25 for children, excluding applicable taxes and gratuities. (Tea Service not available New Year’s Day.)

Thanksgiving at Andrea Ristorante

Chef Luca creates a special Rustic Tuscan holiday menu available from noon to 10 p.m., accompanied by a classical guitar player. For parties up to 30 guests, Chef Luca dedicates special selections for the Andrea Private Dining Room with a traditional and festive Italian menu.

Thanksgiving at Pelican Grill & Lounge

Chef Chang presents a delectable all-day California Grill menu available from 11:30 am to 10 p.m. Entertainment includes a pianist, bass player and vocalist. For parties up to 52 guests, Chef Chang creates a special California Grill menu in the Pelican Grill Private Dining Room.

Thanksgiving at Coliseum Pool & Grill

Chef Mark designs a California Classic breakfast buffet available from 7 to 11:30 a.m. From noon to 9 p.m., a Thanksgiving buffet is served. A limited a la carte dinner menu, including turkey specials, is available from 4 to 9 p.m.

After this hydrating envelopment the treatment concludes with a rehydration massage made of Rose Moroc lotion leaving the skin fragrant and glowing. The Lizard Wizard

Children ages 4-12 will get a hand-on look into the fascinating world of reptiles, amphibians and arthropods with the Lizard Wizard and his 25 cold-blooded little friends, large and small! Come tickle the feet of a millipede, watch Charlotte the tarantula spin her magical web, stroke the spines of an iguana’s back and tap the shell of a giant tortoise. This spring, spend an hour with a highly trained team of professionals and their gentle creatures. This activity is complimentary for children enrolled in Camp Pelican for the day, or $25 per child for non-enrolled participants.
