Exceptional Schools Throughout The Villages Of Irvine Continue To Attract Families

Education has always been a top priority throughout the Villages of Irvine and the outstanding schools — in both the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) and the Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) — continue to be one of the reasons why families consistently select the Villages of Irvine as their communities!

The IUSD and TUSD include a total of 63 elementary, middle and high schools, many of which have been honored as California Distinguished Schools, National Blue Ribbon Schools or both. The Irvine Company, in an effort to demonstrate its commitment to education, presented a $2 million check to the IUSD, the second installment of the Excellence in Education Enrichment Fund established in 2006. The 10-year, $20 million gift from Donald Bren, president of The Irvine Company, provides specific funding to support more than 30 distinguished “specialist teachers” for fourth through sixth grade fine arts, music and science throughout IUSD.

“Excellent schools are a source of pride for all families living throughout the Villages of Irvine,” said Suzanne Maddalon, senior director of marketing and research for Irvine Community Development Company LLC, an affiliate of The Irvine Company LLC. “The success of the school districts is attributed to the dedication, hard work and the cooperative efforts of students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, and other community members.”

The latest addition to this impressive array of schools is Woodbury Elementary School, a state-of-the-art educational facility in the IUSD. This exciting new public school opened its doors to serve students from the nationally recognized Village of Woodbury, where a wide range of new homes are now available for sale.

Woodbury Elementary is a year-round, single-track school offering K-6 instruction. The school can accommodate 700 students and utilizes the latest in technology, including a computer lab with 36 computers for direct instruction and an additional 30 or more computers in each classroom wing for student use throughout the day.

Also part of the school campus is a library/media center, separate kindergarten area, multipurpose area, high-tech stage, food service area, lunch shelter, playfields, and hardcourts. In addition to the school’s strong academic programs, students will benefit from instruction in music, art, PE, and science from specialists in these fields.

The school is situated along the western edge of The Commons, Woodbury’s 30-acre resort-style social and recreational heart. From this convenient, “near it all” locale, Woodbury children are able to walk or ride their bikes to school via a network of trails that link all the neighborhoods of Woodbury to various village amenities.

“An outstanding education is an important component of life within the Villages of Irvine,” said Suzanne Maddalon. “It clearly offers the educational environment, along with all the other ingredients, for a superb family-oriented lifestyle.”

Currently, new homes are offered within the following villages in the City of Irvine:

Ten neighborhoods within this village’s first two residential enclaves offer attached and detached homes sized from approximately 990 to 4,379 square feet. Prices range from the high $300,000s to more than $1 million.

Woodbury’s intimate neighborhoods are interwoven with memorable parks, squares and gardens. Within this village’s varied districts, five currently selling neighborhoods offer attached and detached residences sized from approximately 1,030 to 3,648 square feet. Prices range from the high $400,000s to more than $1 million.
