Fall Harvest Brings a Bounty of Room Packages, Spa Activities & Culinary Events to Guests at The Resort at Pelican Hill

Friends and family can reap a full bounty of memorable experiences at The Resort at Pelican Hill this fall with a harvest of seasonal room packages, spa treatments, wine tastings and culinary events beginning September 7 through November 25, 2009. Ideal for local and regional guests, options include:

Room Packages

“Fall in Love…” Room Package
To celebrate the fall wine harvesting season, the package includes:
-Overnight accommodations in a bungalow guestroom
-Breakfast in Coliseum Pool & Grill for two
-Fall welcome amenity of champagne grapes, port chocolate truffles and a bottle of sparkling Prosecco wine
-Choice of round of golf or a 60-minute Amber Gold spa treatment in The Spa

Available September 7 through November 25, 2009, the package starts at $795 per night for two guests, based on availability and excluding tax.

The “Fall Celebration Package”
Includes:
-Overnight accommodations in a bungalow guestroom
-Two 60-minute Veuve Clicquot Rose Cristallo Bath treatments in The Spa
-A “Farm to the Table” fall dinner for two at the Coliseum Pool & Grill
-A bottle of sparkling Prosecco wine

The Spa

“Ladies Spa Daycation”
For full-time moms, this fall any weekday is the right time to get away from the hustle and bustle of motherhood for just a few hours. While the Resort takes care of children in the renowned Camp Pelican with activities, ladies can enjoy:

-Toasting to the good life with a glass of sparkling Prosecco wine in The Spa
-Relaxing in the Spa’s Aqua Colonnade with Roman Bath, sauna and steam room
-A 60-minute Amber Gold or Deep Tissue Massage
-Lunch at The Coliseum Pool & Grill or in one of the cabanas
-Working out in the state-of-the-art Fitness Center

Available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, the Ladies Spa Daycation is $280 for one
adult and one child age 4-14. Additional children are $60 per child and adults are $228 per person.

In addition, seasonal spa treatments available this fall utilizing wine and grape ingredients from the harvest include:
-Grape Seed and Olive Body Scrub, $180 for 60 minutes
-Rose Wine Wrap, $180 for 60 minutes
-Veuve Clicquot Rose Cristallo Bath, $90 for 60 minutes including a 30-minute hydration massage

Food & Wine

Vertical Ladder Wine Tasting in The Great Room

As a complimentary experience for local residents and overnight Resort guests, each Thursday evening from September 10 through November 17, 2009 the Vertical Ladder Wine Tasting is offered from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Great Room Terrace. The event features unique vintages from a renowned winery with hors d’oeuvres.

White Truffle Menu at Andrea Ristorante

Offered the last week of October, Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray will showcase exclusive white truffles from Alba in Italy’s Piedmont region on a four-course menu paired with Piedmont wines in Andrea Ristorante. The dinner is $225 per person, excluding tax and gratuities. Advanced reservations are requested and can be made by calling (800) 820-6800.

Family’s Endless Summer at The Coliseum Pool & Grill

Beginning September 13 through November 25, 2009, each Sunday through Thursday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. local families can spend quality time together dining in a Resort cabana at the casual Coliseum Pool & Grill. Children 2-10 years old can enjoy the new “Kids’ Three’s Company” dinner featuring favorite Pizza, favorite Gelato and an favorite Palladian Punch for $10 per child. Before and after dinner, children ages 4 to 14 can play games at Camp Pelican or watch their favorite TV shows.

Meanwhile, adults can savor the freshest seasonal cuisine on the Coliseum Grill from the “Farm- To-Table” Fall Menu. Each week Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray visits farmers at Irvine Ranch and hand picks the ripest fruits, vegetables and herbs from their bounty.

The Coliseum Chef Chang Sivilay then creates dishes using these fresh ingredients in dishes featured on the menu. A selection of the newest wines from Northern and Southern California wineries can then be matched to the dinners.
