Fashion Island Announces Two New Restaurants

Fashion Island continues to add more dining options for shoppers, after opening Rustica and True Food Kitchen earlier this year. Two new casual restaurants will open their first Orange County locations soon in Fashion Island’s Atrium Cafes, and local favorite Pain du Monde has relocated and expanded its Fashion Island location from Atrium Cafes upstairs to the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard.

Hana Grill, a gourmet Japanese restaurant with a casual setting, will open its first Orange County location in Fashion Island’s Atrium Cafes in December. Hana Grill serves a variety of Teriyaki Bowls, Sushi Rolls, and Combinations served with a choice of mixed vegetables or market salad, steamed rice and miso soup. Many menu items are prepared to order on a teppan grill in front of the customer. Specialty dishes include Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and Teppan Yaki as well as sushi rolls.

Also slated to open in Atrium Cafes is Stone Oven, coming to Fashion Island in Spring 2011. Stone Oven serves gourmet sandwiches made with flatbread baked fresh on the premises, along with fresh tossed salads. An assortment of sandwiches includes Garden Vegetable, Spicy Chicken, BBQ Beef Brisket, Santa Fe Hot Ham and more. The salad selection includes Asian Chicken, Mediterranean Chicken, Walnut & Green Apple, Southwest Chicken Caesar, and others.

Pain du Monde, which has a loyal following for its fresh-baked pastries and cookies as well as its sandwiches and salads, is now in a larger location adjacent to R+D Kitchen, and features indoor and patio seating.

As Orange County’s premier coastal shopping experience, Fashion Island features specialty boutiques, world-class department stores and a wide assortment of restaurants and cafes. Visited by more than 13 million people annually, Fashion Island offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere that is distinctively Southern California.

Owned by Irvine Company, Fashion Island is home to Orange County’s only Neiman Marcus, as well as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Bloomingdale’s Home Store and Macy’s. For more information, please visit
