Fashion Island’s Tree Lighting Ceremony to feature Disneyland® Resort’s beloved characters

Fashion Island’s annual tree lighting event brings exclusive performances and a dazzling new show by the Disneyland® Resort to celebrate the holidays

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (October 2015) –  The spirit of the holiday season will shine brighter than ever before when Mickey Mouse and his pals help light up Fashion Island’s holiday tree on November 7 and 8. And this year, to honor their Diamond Celebration, our Disney friends will bring a touch of sparkle and new “dazzle” to their holiday tree lighting show, “Disney Holiday Magic.”  This festive occasion is fun for the whole family and features Disney music and character appearances – even a magical snowfall.

“We’re excited to bring our guests a bit of the special holiday magic that only the Disneyland® Resort offers with Mickey and his friends again this year,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties. “So many families look forward to this wonderful holiday tradition year after year.”

More than 10,000 guests are expected to arrive during both evenings to watch Mickey Mouse and his pals in exclusive holiday performances at Fashion Island as the only location in Southern California to feature the beloved characters at a tree lighting ceremony outside of the Disneyland® Resort. The complimentary festivities will be held in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard at 5:30 p.m. on both evenings.
