Industry Veterans Join Senior Management Team at Irvine Company Apartment Communities

Three industry veterans have joined the top management team at Irvine Company Apartment Communities (ICAC), bringing years of expertise to the company’s expanding operations across California.

Dave Brackett joins as senior vice president, property management, responsible for ICAC communities in Orange County.

Jeff Kimes joins as senior vice president, property management, responsible for ICAC’s San Diego, Silicon Valley and some Orange County communities.

Marisa Hanke joins as senior vice president, strategic services, responsible for helping to ensure ICAC’s guiding principles of high-quality, innovative apartment homes and customer service are met across all facets of the company.

“Dave, Jeff and Marisa join us at a pivotal time and will help bring our senior leadership closer to our communities across California,” said Kevin Baldridge, ICAC President. “Their years of industry experience will prove invaluable to our expanding portfolio.”

Brackett joins from Archstone Enterprises LP, where he served as executive vice president responsible for overseeing the western half of the U.S. Prior to Archstone, Brackett held management roles at Oakwood Worldwide and Starpoint Properties. He holds an economics degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has held board positions with the National Multi Housing Council and California Apartment Association.

Kimes also joins from Archstone, where he was group vice president responsible for the Northern California region. Prior to joining Archstone, Kimes held management positions at Riverstone Residential Group, Apartment Investment and Management Co., known as Aimco, and Equity Residential. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a veteran of the Army, where he reached the rank of captain and served as a combat aviator.

Hanke joins ICAC from Casden Properties LLC, where she was executive vice president of property operations and market research. Earlier in her career, Hanke held management positions at Ernst & Young LLP. She holds a master’s in business administration and a master’s in urban planning from USC, as well as bachelor’s degrees in social sciences and social ecology from the University of California, Irvine.

The executives join ICAC following the February expansion of the company’s portfolio in Orange County and San Diego with the assumption of operational responsibility for 16 communities previously managed by Archstone.

In Northern California, ICAC last year opened Crescent Village Apartment Homes in North San Jose and plans other new communities in the region.
ICAC, the apartment division of the Irvine Company, operates 125 apartment communities with more than 48,000 units in Orange, San Diego and Los Angeles counties and in Silicon Valley.

About the Irvine Company
Founded in 1864, the Irvine Company is an internationally renowned real estate development company known for its award-winning master-planned communities, its vast portfolio of high-quality investment properties, and its leadership in conservation and natural resource management.  The growing real estate portfolio encompasses office, apartment, retail and resort holdings located throughout California’s premier markets, including assets in San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles counties, and holdings in Northern California.  As a steward of some of America’s most beautiful and scientifically important open space and parklands, the company has donated to Orange County more than half of the historic 93,000-acre Irvine Ranch in Orange County—50,000 acres—to permanently preserve these lands. The U.S. Department of Interior and the State of California have designated these parklands as “Natural Landmarks,” one of the most prestigious land preservation designations. The privately held, diversified company traces its roots to the 1860s with the formation of The Irvine Ranch® from Mexican and Spanish land grants.
