Sushi Roku’s First Orange County Location To Open At Fashion Island

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., August 5, 2014 – Innovative Dining Group’s Sushi Roku, the pioneer of contemporary sushi, is slated to open at Fashion Island in Newport Beach in early 2015. A favorite of Hollywood celebrities, this will be Sushi Roku’s first Orange County outpost and sixth location.

Sushi Roku’s eclectic menu combines traditional Japanese cuisine, bold international flavors, and a dash of California innovation to create a unique selection of hot and cold specialty appetizers and an array of artful entrées. Sushi Roku uses the finest, freshest fish from around the globe with the kind of artistry that can only be provided by a seasoned sushi chef to ensure a superlative sushi experience. Certified sake sommeliers and mixologists have crafted a diverse and exceptional beverage menu to pair with the cuisine.

“We are thrilled to bring Sushi Roku’s first Orange County location to Fashion Island,” said Stacie Ellis, senior director of marketing for Irvine Company Retail Properties. “It’s no secret we love our sushi here in coastal O.C. and more so when it’s presented creatively and in a stylish setting, which is exactly what Sushi Roku will deliver.”

Guests can look forward to specialties such as Salmon Sashimi Basil Wrap, with burrata and a red wine yuzu sauce; Tuna Tartare with yuzu guacamole; signature hand rolls such as Baked Lobster in creamy miso sauce and Black Truffle Tempura with avocado; along with traditional nigiri sushi favorites such as tai, hamachi and toro.

Sushi Roku’s happy hour menu features delectable $3 to $6 bites, including edamame with truffle butter, seared Albacore sashimi with crispy onions, and pork kakuni sliders, all of which can be paired with a fine selection of $3 beers and $4 to $7 cocktails and wines.

Sushi Roku will be located adjacent to Macy’s, across from True Food Kitchen. For more information about Sushi Roku’s menu and other locations, visit www.sushiroku.com.
