Irvine Company’s Fox Plaza Office Tower Captures Prestigious Industry Award

The Irvine Company today announced that Fox Plaza, the iconic, internationally known office tower in West Los Angeles, captured a prestigious TOBY award in annual judging by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Los Angeles.

The TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) program recognizes quality and excellence in daily management of office buildings. TOBY awards are considered the most prestigious recognition in the commercial real estate industry. In judging properties, all facets of a building’s operations are involved, including its tenant relations program, amenities package, community involvement, emergency evacuation procedures, building standards, accessibility and overall exceptional service.

Fox Plaza received its TOBY award in the category for buildings measuring between 500,000 and 1 million square feet. The building comprises 730,510 rentable square feet.

“Fox Plaza is a stunning high-rise office building that has earned its status as a true Southern California landmark,” said Doug Holte, president of Irvine Company Office Properties. “Our management and leasing teams take tremendous pride in ensuring that the property provides our customers with an extraordinary business experience. We’re all extremely proud of this award, which reflects team members’ dedication and commitment to customer service.”

Completed in 1987, Fox Plaza rises 34 stories above the highly recognized “Avenue of the Stars” in the heart of Century City. Clad in red granite and glass, the Class A landmark building, offers some of the most dramatic views of the West Coast, and features immaculate landscaping and beautiful and innovative interior spaces. The Irvine Company purchased Fox Plaza in October of 2000.

Fox Plaza long has been regarded as one of the finest corporate addresses in Southern California, a fact reflected in its status as the headquarters of prestigious entertainment and global financial companies. In addition to Twentieth Century Fox, companies located at the celebrated property include Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. Designed by world-renowned Johnson Fain Partners, Fox Plaza’s top-quality design makes a visual statement from the moment employees and visitors arrive at its formal, palm tree-lined motor court.

Fox Plaza’s prime location puts it steps away from world-class restaurants, shops and hotels. In addition, the property offers an unusual breadth of onsite amenities, including Fox Plaza Cafe, a sundries and gift shop, dry cleaning services, auto detailing, ATM and concierge services and a 24-hour staffed security desk. The property features an elegant onsite conference center designed for training sessions as well as larger meetings, and equipped with complimentary WiFi and video conferencing services. And Fox Plaza’s close proximity to the 405 and 10 freeways provides immediate access to downtown Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, South Bay cities and the Santa Monica coast.
