Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), in partnership with The Market Place, presents the inaugural STEAM Carnival, a family-friendly event for all ages designed to provide children with fun, hands-on activities in an interactive carnival atmosphere to spark their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). Discover, learn and play as a family with a number of STEAM activities, such as discovering game mechanics with human foosball and giant Jenga, tinkering with robots, learning to code with Minecraft, unleashing your inner maker – and more.
“We are delighted to partner with IPSF as a sponsor and host for the STEAM Carnival,” said Easther Liu, Chief Marketing Officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties. “The Market Place is a go-to gathering place for the Irvine community so we could think of no better place to host our youngest learners and their families for a day of STEAM discovery.”
Tickets for the STEAM Carnival are $5 with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting IPSF. Children three years and under and students wearing their 2015 Summer Enrichment Academy t-shirts will get in free. The first 200 attendees will also receive a limited-edition tote.
Advance ticket holders will be eligible for an opportunity drawing with great prizes, such as gift cards to The Market Place and a Pedego Electric Bike rental package. Select restaurants and merchants at The Market Place will also be running special promotions and offers the day of the event.
