With the holiday season in full swing, Irvine Spectrum Center is providing the opportunity to give back to families in need. On Sunday, December 7, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Irvine Spectrum Center will host the kickoff event for the Orange County Toy Collaborative. The community is invited to drop off a new, unwrapped toy this Sunday, in front of the Edwards Theatre at Irvine Spectrum Center. Gift cards to Irvine Spectrum Center and its stores will also be accepted in lieu of a toy. Visitors can meet firefighters, Marines, as well as Santa Claus. Come out and see a fire engine, Marine vehicle and more.
The O.C. Toy Collaborative includes the Orange County Firefighters’ Spark of Love toy drive, the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program, the Orange County Social Service Agency’s Operation Santa Claus program, and the St. Vincent de Paul holiday charities program.
For every toy donation, visitors will receive an offer good at Santa’s House or the Holiday Ice Rink. In addition, Child’s Play Toys at Irvine Spectrum Center is offering a discount that day on select merchandise for customers who note that they are making a donation to the O.C. Toy Collaborative.
