GLOBALFOUNDRIES, the world’s fastest-growing semiconductor company, is bringing its U.S. corporate administrative offices and engineering operations to Santa Clara Gateway, a premier office campus being built in the heart of Silicon Valley.
The company has leased a 165,000-square-foot office building at Santa Clara Gateway, an Irvine Company development on Great America Parkway near Highway 237. GLOBALFOUNDRIES, which operates silicon wafer fabrication plants serving some of the industry’s leading chip companies, plans to relocate about 430 jobs to Santa Clara Gateway in late 2013.

In 2012, GLOBALFOUNDRIES was named the fastest-growing semiconductor company by IC Insights Inc., an industry analyst group based in Scottsdale, Ariz. Santa Clara Gateway, a 911,000-square-foot, six-building campus that broke ground in April 2012, is the first commercial office space in Silicon Valley designed by famed architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners Architects LLP of New York. The first phase of Santa Clara Gateway is set to be completed in mid-2013 with the second phase set for completion in early 2014.
GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ building is in the second phase and brings the number of buildings leased at Santa Clara Gateway to three. GLOBALFOUNDRIES joins a top-tier computer company and a leading networking company at Santa Clara Gateway.
