Irvine, California – Jack’s Surfboards, an Orange County surf institution known worldwide for its leading edge surf apparel and products, will open at Oak Creek Village Center in Irvine on November 13.
The 9,375 square foot store will celebrate its grand opening on November 14 – 16, with a storewide sale, daily events and giveaways, a Nike 6.0 laser customizing event, and autograph signing sessions by surf, snow and skateboarding’s top athletes. Appearances will include skateboarding legend Christian Hosoi and also Tony Alva from the documentary film “Lords of Dog Town.” There will also be professional skateboarding demonstrations on Saturday, November 15 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Like its five sister stores that surround Orange County’s most popular surfing spots, Jack’s at Oak Creek Village Center will feature today’s hottest labels, including Billabong, Volcom, Hurley, Quiksilver, Roxy and O’Neill. The store will also have a selection of the newest brands the store exclusively introduces to the market, along with surfboards, wetsuits and other surf gear, as well as snowboards and skateboards.
Since its inception in 1957, Jack’s has evolved along with the sport of surfing. Single Fin Longboards morphed to shorter Twin Fins, and on to the modern Tri Fin Thrusters used by the majority of surfers today. With more than 50 years in surf retail, Jack’s is as much a part of surfing history as the invention of some of its equipment. The surf industry often uses Jack’s surfboards as a proving ground for their products in the market place.
Jack’s is located in Oak Creek Village Center at 5581 Alton Parkway, at Jeffrey Road, in Irvine. The store can be reached at (949) 242-7020.
