Culver Plaza, already a popular spot for casual dining in Irvine, now has more offerings as Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot recently opened its first Orange County location at the center. Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is a modern fondue concept with high quality meat, seafood and vegetables that are thinly sliced and cooked in a flavorful, simmering broth.
The concept of Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, a forerunner to the modern fondue, dates back hundreds of years to the nomadic Mongols, where tribes would gather together around a fire to cook fresh meats in a communal pot with simmering broth. Over time, hot pot has been refined, but the fundamental ideas remain — fresh and healthy ingredients, sharing, friendship, family, and the excitement of gathering around a dinner table. Today, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot continues this culture by offering this same experience.
Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot has 36 spices and ingredients in its original soup base recipe for a flavorful cooking broth. The broth is prepared from scratch daily with only the freshest ingredients, with no MSG or preservatives added. The highest quality meats are offered, including lamb, beef, pork, and poultry. The meat is sliced perfectly to cook within seconds of touching the simmering broth. Vegetarians can enjoy a wide range of leafy greens, mushrooms, and other vegetables that perfectly complement the broth. Seafood lovers will enjoy a choice of fresh seafood.
Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot has other locations in California, Texas, Washington, New York, Canada and Japan, as well as 700 locations in China. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 5:30 to 10 p.m. for dinner. Friday through Saturday, Little Sheep is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The restaurant can be reached at (949) 651-0201.
