New mid-week Bites & Delights

Now there are more reasons for dining out mid-week at the Island Hotel’s Palm Terrace Restaurant and Lounge. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, there are “Social Hour” offerings in the Lounge; and for wine enthusiasts and restaurant mavens, the Palm Terrace Restaurant is pouring selections from its world-class wine cellar for half the price on Wednesdays.

Burgers & Beer
Chef Bill Bracken now has five mouth-watering sliders to wash down with one of the fine beers at Palm Terrace Lounge:
~ Prime Beef Sliders Au Poivre with Tillamook Cheddar and Grilled Onions
~ Chicken and Truffle Sliders on a Pretzel Bun with Oven-Dried Tomato Aioli
~ Turkey and Artichoke with Arugula Pesto and Feta Cheese
~ Ginger Shrimp Sliders with Asian Slaw on a Ciabatta Bun
~ Rays Favorite Meatball Slider with Grated Reggiano and Pomodoro Sauce
Sliders are 2 for $5 with choice of beer. All draft beers are $5. Tuesdays at Palm Terrace Lounge.

Pizza & Pinot
Bites & Delights continue in the Lounge on Wednesdays with “Pizza & Pinot”. Tempting specialty pizzas created by Chef Bracken – including a lusty Taleggio and Crushed Truffles with Lobster and Chives, and the Classic Margarita – are paired with exceptional Pinots by the glass, such as Pahlmeyer “Jayson”, Sonoma Coast, 2005. Mini pizzas are 2 for $5 with a glass of Pinot. Pinots are priced at $12 to 35 per glass. Wednesdays at Palm Terrace Lounge.

Tacos & Tequila
Palm Terrace Lounge heads south of the border with a selection of tantalizing tequila concoctions, such as La Isla Bonita with Patron Silver, Chambord, Triple Sec, lime juice and pineapple juice ($9); and delectable tacos with the finest fillings, such as Ahi Tuna, Maine Lobster, Smoked Duck and Beef Tenderloin. All tacos are 2 for $5 with choice of tequila cocktail. Thursdays at Palm Terrace Lounge.
