Parkview Center in Irvine readies for a new look

One of Irvine Company’s original retail centers will be invigorated with an inspired coastal farmhouse design set to be unveiled in 2018

IRVINE, Calif. (June 14, 2017) — Irvine Company announced today that Parkview Center in Irvine will undergo a vibrant reinvestment that will include new architectural design, new tenants and modern landscaping.

“As one of our authentic neighborhood retail centers, we are reimagining Parkview so it can be enjoyed as a community hub for many generations,” said Dave Moore, president of Irvine Company Retail Properties. “The design embodies the heritage of farming that still exists here today.”

Phase I of the reinvestment includes the relocation of longtime tenant Irvine Veterinary Services, which will move into the former IHOP location. In its place will be a new quick service food operator with a drive-thru. To date, the exact establishment has yet to be determined. Both will be designed to reflect a coastal farmhouse feel, paying homage to the center’s original farmhouse building erected circa 1975, as well the bountiful neighborhood attractions of Strawberry Farms and Tanaka Farms located across the street. Phase I construction is scheduled to begin in the fall of this year.

As part of the reinvestment’s Phase 2, a contemporary convenience store and gas station will be built. Construction is slated to begin in November and the gas station is anticipated to open in Summer 2018.

New tenants for Parkview Center will be announced throughout the coming year. The center’s anchor supermarket, ZionMart, continues to garner positive feedback from the community for its quality grocery offerings since opening in January. Meanwhile, existing tenants such as AIM Mail Center, Oh My Nails and Korea House will remain in their current location.
