Pelican Hill Chefs Present Hands-On Culinary Adventures And Spring Epicurean Experiences For Guests And Locals Alike

Guests and locals alike delight in fresh Epicurean Experience this spring at The Resort at Pelican Hill®, ranked America’s top Resort by Condé Nast Traveler readers. In addition to seasonal menus and holiday dining, discerning foodies, aspiring chefs and dining aficionados will find epicurean adventure and intrigue this spring along the coast of Newport Beach in Southern California.

“This spring, guests can experience so much more than just a great meal,” said Pelican Hill Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray. “I invite you to come along with me on my seasonally inspired adventure in cooking, designed to give you first-hand access to Southern California’s freshest coastal cuisine.”

Executive Chef’s Adventures in Cooking Series: Spring Fish & Harvest Package
Join one of California’s most celebrated chefs, Pelican Hill’s Jean-Pierre Dubray, for a two-day Southern California-style culinary adventure.
• Day One: Fish off the Pacific Coast for yellowtail, halibut, white sea bass, barracuda and various rockfish. Your fresh catch of the day will be prepared that evening by Chef Luca Cesarini at Andrea, with Northern Italian wine pairings.
• Day Two: Harvest seasonal vegetables and fruits at the Irvine Ranch® and Chef Dubray will create a special menu at Coliseum Pool & Grill featuring the wines of California’s Central Coast.
Conclude your culinary adventure with a collection of recipes and gifts to enjoy at home.
Starting from $5,000 per person, including two nights of accommodations (minimum stay required). Package available for a maximum of five guests per group. Limited dates are available and must be arranged in advance.

Traditional Easter Brunch
Sunday, April 8
Amidst Pacific ocean panoramas, the little ones delight in an Easter egg hunt, Easter Bunny visits, face painting and balloon shaping on the picturesque Rotunda Lawn. In Mar Vista’s grand ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray presents traditional brunch favorites, with California and Tuscan accents.

Mother’s Day Ballroom Brunch
Sunday, May 13
Celebrate your family’s leading lady with a lovely chef-crafted brunch and spectacular ocean views in Mar Vista’s grand ballroom from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mothers receive a special gift with our compliments!

Mother’s Day Tea in the Great Room
Sunday, May 13
Relish in the elegance of traditional afternoon tea time in the Great Room, featuring a classical harpist and scenic ocean views. Teas, coffees, sweets, sandwiches and wines by the glass are available as a prix fixe menu on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Easter at Andrea
Sunday, April 8
In addition to award-winning traditional Northern Italian cuisine and fine wines, Chef Luca presents with a prix fixe lunch menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a la carte Easter dinner specials beginning at 5 p.m.

Mother’s Day at Andrea
Sunday, May 13
From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., savor the true flavors of Italy with a prix fixe rustic Tuscan menu that includes your choice of appetizers, entrees and desserts created by Chef Luca. Wine pairings for each course available.

Chef Chang creates a special selection of Easter a la carte dishes, available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as Easter dinner specials and a featured lounge menu available from 3 to 10 p.m.

Mother’s Day at Pelican Grill
Sunday, May 13
Dine a fresco in casual elegance on the ocean-view terrace, or indoors with a spectacular view of Pelican Grill’s open-display kitchen. Chef Chang presents a featured three-course California cuisine menu from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., accompanied by live entertainment.

Father’s Day at Pelican Grill
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., treat dad to grill favorites and a three-course a la carte brunch menu created by Chef Chang. A la carte dinner specials will also be available.

Farm-to-Fork Lunch Menu
Inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients from the Irvine Ranch, Pelican Grill features a Spring Market Lunch Menu, with two savory courses and one sweet course. Featured seasonal ingredients include asparagus, avocado, fava beans, strawberries and spring peas.
$40* per person. Daily selections change seasonally, based upon local harvest schedules.

Express To-Go from Pelican Grill
Ready for pick-up in 30 minutes or less, delicious lunch and dinner meals for at home and on-the-go are available. Choose your favorites from a selection of specialty dishes, such as Farm Field Greens, Savory Artisanal Sandwiches, Handcrafted Pizzas & Pastas, Grilled Steaks & Seafood and Desserts.
