SGI Selects McCarthy Center For New Headquarters

The Irvine Company announced today Silicon Graphics International Corp(SGI) has leased 100,000 square feet of office space in two buildings at 900 N. McCarthy Blvd. and 940 N. McCarthy Blvd.

Approximately 200 SGI employees will relocate to McCarthy Center from multiple locations in Fremont, resulting in a more cost effective and attractive space for SGI.  McCarthy Centeroffers SGI a premier campus office setting and enhanced visibility for its headquarters including signage along Interstate 880. SGI is expected to complete its move-in by December 2013 and has engaged the Studio O A as the architect and Devcon Construction as the general contractor.

McCarthy Center is a 68-acre campus office park built by the Irvine Company between 1999 and 2003. The one million-square-foot, 19-building campus features modern architecture, lush landscaping and customizable workspaces. SGI joins tenants such as JDS Uniphase Corp., AT&T Inc. and ADP Inc., which have selected McCarthy Center for its Milpitas location, close proximity to highways and San Jose International Airport, convenient restaurant and retail options onsite and at adjacent McCarthy Ranch retail center and a campus setting with easy, ample parking.
