Southern California’s Pelican Hill Debuts With “Top Two” U.S. Resort Ranking and “Top 25” Worldwide Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards

Luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler this week announced the results of its 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards, in which Pelican Hill Resort® ranked “top two” among mainland U.S. resorts in its debut year on the list. Among the “Top 100 Best in the World 2010,” Pelican Hill topped all California hotels and resorts, earning scores that place the nearly two-year-old resort at number 22 worldwide.

“We are thrilled to have been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler readers, just as we approach our second anniversary this November,” said Pelican Hill Managing Director Giuseppe Lama. “It was an honor to have been singled out by the editors for the Hot List in 2009, and this reader feedback means that not only have they followed the editors’ advice and given our property a try, but we have indeed succeeded in providing unprecedented experiences and inspiring fond memories of their stays with us.”

Ranking the best cities, cruise lines, airlines, hotels, resorts and car rental agencies worldwide, the complete awards results appear in Condé Nast Traveler’s November issue and are derived from the Readers’ Choice survey, in which 26,000 readers voted on more than 10,000 properties and destinations.
