Taco Bell to Move Headquarters to Irvine Spectrum

Taco Bell is making a run for the border – of Irvine.

Orange County’s largest restaurant-chain recently announced that it will move its corporate headquarters from the Irvine Business Center to Irvine Spectrum, and occupy about 180,000 sq. ft. in two buildings at One Premier Place. Facing the I-5 freeway near Alton Parkway, the highly visible buildings are owned by Ford Motor Corp.

The move further validates Irvine Spectrum’s emergence as Southern California’s cosmopolitan hub. When Taco Bell moves about 600 employees in 2010, it will join Blizzard Entertainment, Fluor Corporation, UBS and other industry-leading companies who have relocated or expanded in Irvine Spectrum this year.

The expansions come just a few months after The Village at Irvine Spectrum won a Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference Gold Nugget for Best Apartment Project. Across the street, Orange County’s vibrant regional retail powerhouse Irvine Spectrum Center logs 14 million annual visitors.
