The Resort At Pelican Hill Announces Autumn Dining And Entertainment Along The Coast Of Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 15, 2015 – As harvest season flavors arrive, savory pumpkins, sweet apples and white truffles will grace menus across The Resort at Pelican Hill®. In celebration of autumn’s epicurean delights, annual traditions such as Festa dell’Autunno Weekend and La Bella Moda at Andrea Ristorante will return as signature highlights of the season. New this year, Pelican Hill debuts a Costume Tea Party & Storytime as part of its reperfected weekly Tea Moderno in the Great Room Social Lounge.

“Autumn brings an endless summer feel to Pelican Hill, with bright, sunny days and gorgeous sunsets from our oceanview dining terraces,” said Pelican Hill Managing Director Giuseppe Lama. “Inspired by each season’s distinct ingredients and especially those sourced locally, our skilled chefs continually present fresh dishes and small bites designed to pair perfectly with our fine selection of sips.”

Children’s Resort Etiquette Classes
Sundays, September 13, October 11 and November 8 from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Children ages 7-12 are cordially invited to expand their understanding of social, travel and dining etiquette with a fun and educational class. Led by Kathleen Cover, Founder and President of The Etiquette School of Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, certified by the prestigious American School of Protocol, each three-hour course offers a positive, relaxed and approachable setting.
$125 per child per class; limited to 12 children per class; reservations required.

Wedding Etiquette Soirées
Sundays, September 27, October 25 & November 22 from 3 – 5:30 p.m.
For brides, grooms and their parents, as well as anyone who wishes to polish their dining and social etiquette, this fun and interactive program features wedding etiquette traditions, favorable first impressions, gracious hosting, written correspondence, domestic and continental fine dining and a special spa etiquette talk and tour. Enjoy Prosecco and hors d’oeuvres, followed by dinner and dessert, including tips for wedding cake cutting as a couple. Each soirée is led by Kathleen Cover, Founder and President of The Etiquette School of Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, certified by the prestigious American School of Protocol.

Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival Package
October 2-5
Escape to Pelican Hill for a two-night Bungalow stay with two tickets and round-trip coach service to the Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival on either Saturday, October 3 or Sunday, October 4. Festa dell’Autunno Weekend
October 8-11
Visit Italy by way of Newport Beach this autumn. The Resort at Pelican Hill® presents its fifth annual harvest season celebration, bringing the sights, sounds, tastes and traditions of Italy to Southern California’s Tuscan seaside village. Experience art created before your eyes, regional Italian fare and live performances by musicians, dancers and flag bearers during this four-day series of events. Family Pumpkin Harvest
October 24 & 25 from 12 – 4 p.m.
With the guidance of Pelican Hill chefs, select the perfect pumpkins for decorating and dining. For children ages 5-12, Camp Pelican hosts an afternoon of fun and learning with supervised pumpkin decorating, crafts, lunch and harvest-themed games.

Costume Tea Party & Storytime

From 2 – 4 p.m., the Great Room Social Lounge’s Tea Moderno welcomes children for a Halloween-inspired costume party and afternoon tea. Special costumed guests lead story time, sing-alongs and much more.

Pelican Grill chefs prepare the day’s selection of prix fixe specialties before guest’s eyes, then pass each course over the kitchen counter to the adjacent rustic, wooden table set for up to 10 guests. As they converse with the chef across the pass counter, diners savor Napa-inspired cuisine paired with fine California wines.

Game Day Specials at Newport Coast’s Sports Center
Voted Southern California’s Best Sports Bar & Grill by Los Angeles Times readers, Pelican Grill brings you this season’s exciting football, baseball and basketball action on two nine-foot screens in the Pelican Grill Lounge.
