BofI Federal Bank leases 160,000 square feet in La Jolla UTC
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 27, 2018) – BofI Federal Bank, America’s oldest and most trusted digital bank, has leased 160,000 square feet at Irvine Company workplace communities in La Jolla UTC. The company recently announced on www.axosbank.com it will rebrand its name to Axos Bank come October 1.
The technology-driven financial services company will occupy nearly 140,000 square feet at the six-building, 17-acre, The Plaza in La Jolla UTC and an additional 22,000 square feet in nearby Eastgate. The company’s lease includes building top signage at Pacifica Tower and the 17th and 18th penthouse floors, which haven’t been on the market for 30 years. The Plaza is now 95 percent leased.

Over the last six years, Irvine Company has been an attentive and flexible landlord as we have continued to need more space. We are proud to be headquartered at La Jolla UTC and are looking forward to seeing the Axos name on the top of our building when we rebrand on October 1.”
Since first moving into Irvine Company offices in 2012, the company has expanded seven times at The Plaza and Eastgate, more than quadrupling its overall San Diego presence.
