Celebrate the holiday season at Irvine Spectrum Center

New holiday attractions include a 50-foot, animated LED Christmas tree, Snow Day and more

IRVINE, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2016) Irvine Spectrum Center is the place to enjoy the holidays in Orange County, from outdoor ice skating and Santa photos to a towering LED Christmas tree with animated lights that dance to music. And there will even be snow.

This year, the center will debut its 50-foot, all-LED Christmas tree with color-changing lights that will glow and “dance” to six different holiday songs—it’s the only tree of its kind and size in Orange County. The tree, which will be installed by Black Friday at Edwards Court, will “perform” every 30 minutes nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. with a choreographed light show set to holiday music.

Come Dec. 10, there’s a 100 percent chance of snow at Irvine Spectrum Center, if only for a day.  The team from Active Ride Shop will bring a special day of snow-packed action at Edwards Court, where children will have the chance to learn how to snowboard on mounds of real snow.

“We’re transforming Irvine Spectrum Center into O.C.’s official holiday hangout,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer of Irvine Company Retail Properties. “It will be the perfect place for families to bring their children to create some fun holiday memories and experiences.”

Guests can also look forward to new holiday décor throughout the shopping center: Irvine Spectrum Center’s palm and olive trees will be illuminated with more than 225,000 lights while festive garlands and snowflake projections will provide the perfect backdrop for selfies and photos. Holiday-themed music from Dickens carolers will also entertain shoppers throughout the season during the weekend from 2 to 5 p.m., beginning Nov. 25.
