Greenwave Systems signs full-floor lease at 200 Spectrum Center Drive in Irvine Spectrum
Global Internet of Things software company leases over 22,000 square-feet at sought-after Southern California address
IRVINE, Calif. (May 9, 2016) — Irvine Company announced today that global Internet of Things and M2M services platform company Greenwave Systems (www.greenwavesystems.com) has signed a full-floor lease at the new 21-story vertical campus at 200 Spectrum Center Drive. The 22,150-square-foot lease for the 15th floor adds to Irvine Spectrum’s growing reputation as a Southern California hub of innovation.
This new lease will bring occupancy at 200 Spectrum Center Drive to nearly 60%.
“Greenwave Systems is the latest forward-thinking company to join our vibrant workplace community at 200 Spectrum Center Drive,” said Steve Case, executive vice president, Irvine Company Office Properties. “The vertical campus offers an outstanding location with world-class lifestyle amenities – important factors in employee recruitment and retention.”
Greenwave Systems will move its Southern California headquarters to 200 Spectrum Center Drive this fall, more than doubling its current space at nearby Corporate Business Center. It will join a roster of industry-leading companies at 200 Spectrum Center that includes Mazda North America Operations, Curse Inc. and WeWork.
“We are growing at a rapid and exciting pace and we’re looking for the best talent in the industry. This building offers a state-of-the-art space and has the right footprint for our growing U.S. operations. It has the type of amenities that will attract world-class talent and it will enable us to create a contemporary work environment that will inspire our team to keep innovating,” said Martin Manniche, founder, chairman and CEO of Greenwave Systems. “200 Spectrum is the ideal location for dynamic, growing companies like Greenwave. The space has both the aesthetics and function that will serve us well for years to come.”
Designed by world-renowned architect Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the 426,000-square-foot building features sleek, modern architecture with unobscured 360-degree views. The building offers 10 feet of floor-to-ceiling glass for superior natural lighting and an efficient floor plan for maximum flexibility. 200 Spectrum Center was awarded “Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR” recognition in 2015 and upon completion last month, earned a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification.
The vertical campus also offers two Irvine Company signature amenities: The Commons, an open air gathering place featuring causal workspaces, an outdoor living room and complimentary Wi-Fi; and KINETIC, which blends a state-of-the-art onsite fitness center and wellness services, with close proximity to the St. Joseph Hoag Health Wellness Corner at The Village apartment homes. Showers, lockers and covered bicycle storage enable outdoor fitness as well as easy commuting by bike.
Located in the center of one of California’s most successful business communities, 200 Spectrum Center is adjacent to a variety of housing choices and Irvine Spectrum Center, which offers 1.2 million square feet of restaurant, retail and entertainment options to seamlessly integrate work and life.
The leasing success at 200 Spectrum Center well in advance of the building’s grand opening helped bolster the Irvine Company’s plans to build a 21-story sister high-rise at 400 Spectrum Drive, now under construction.
