Irvine Company’s 200 Spectrum Center wins The Outstanding Building of the Year

IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 11, 2017) – Irvine Company Office Properties’ 21-story vertical campus 200 Spectrum Center has been awarded The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association of Orange County (BOMA/Orange County), the most prestigious and comprehensive recognition of its kind in the commercial real estate industry.

Located in the heart of Irvine Spectrum, the project was honored in the 250,000 – 499,999 square-feet category for its industry-leading building management and operations, excellence in building standards, sustainability efforts, community impact, and customer relations and retention.

Designed by world-renowned architect Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the 426,000-square-foot building features sleek, modern architecture with unobstructed 360-degree views. The building offers 10-feet-high floor-to-ceiling glass for superior natural lighting and an efficient floor plan for maximum flexibility.

The building was awarded “Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR” recognition from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification. It also is part of Irvine Company’s fleet of hybrid electric buildings, which store energy during evening hours for peak time use, reducing the need for new Southern California Edison power plants.

The vertical campus at 200 Spectrum Center Drive also offers two Irvine Company signature amenities: The Commons, an open-air gathering place featuring casual workspaces, an outdoor living room and complimentary Wi-Fi; and KINETIC, which blends a state-of-the-art onsite fitness center and wellness services, with close proximity to the St. Joseph Hoag Health Wellness Corner at The Village Apartment Homes.
