Two Left Forks unveils its second course at Quail Hill Shopping Center

Irvine, Calif. (May 19, 2017) — The second locale of Dana Point’s buzz-worthy Two Left Forks, known for small bites, shared plates, signature cocktails and bustling ambiance, is slated to open in June at Quail Hill Shopping Center, just in time to be summer’s hottest spot. It will be feeding demand with its first-ever lunch service.

“Two Left Forks is the ideal gathering place for Quail Hill residents, particularly with its indoor-outdoor design,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer of Irvine Company Retail Properties. “It has all the qualities our neighbors are seeking.”

The cuisine is classic with a California twist, and the décor is elegantly understated; the new establishment will seat 200 with an indoor-outdoor patio boasting heat lamps and fire pits for a cozy vibe. It’s all the dream child of Georgia Andersen and her son Stefan, who own Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach. The cheeky name is derived from the idea that two forks next to your plate symbolize an elevated dining experience. It’s also the ethos behind the shared plates.

Chef Rob Hines, who will oversee both restaurants, is best-known for his Pistachio-Crusted Colorado Lamb, Chilean Sea Bass, Short Rib Poutine, a sublime burrata salad as well as several vegetarian options. Oenophiles: A list of gems makes for perfect pairings.

The new lunch menu, which is available for take-out, features substantial salads and sandwiches including a Chef Cobb with Crab or Chicken, a Greek Salad with Grilled Stuffed Calamari, a BLT with Heirloom Tomato and a Prime Rib Sandwich topped with Watercress and Horseradish Cream.

“Quail Hill is a beautiful shopping center and the neighborhood is wonderful,” said Georgia Anderson. “It was missing a restaurant like ours that is casual but upscale. We are excited to be part of the community.”
